RAPAPORT & P.MAJOR – SECOND GUESS

Rapaport and P.Major (Peter Farrar) release ‘Second Guess’ debut single from forthcoming new collaborative album ‘Rap Major’.

‘Second Guess’ is the assuredly laid back first single from the forthcoming album ‘Rap Major’ by producer, composer, and acclaimed jazz saxophonist Peter Farrar (P. Major) and rapper/guitarist Rapaport to be released through label Low Key Source in late 2025. ‘Second Guess’ is a boom bap meditation on self-belief and lost love over P.Major’s thick sample heavy, analogue beat.

Although Rap Major is their first collaborative album release, Rapaport and P.Major have worked together in various projects for 25 years, notably as half of award-winning (Triple J Unearthed competition 2014) four-piece Loose Change who released two albums ‘untitled’ (2010) and ‘Listening Party’ (2014) alongside Ellesquire and DJ Sam Zubrycki.

The album ‘Rap Major’ sees Rapaport deliver raps around grief, friendship, relationships and childhood over P.Major’s nuanced compositions and analog production, with the entire album produced on the MPC4000.
